I live in belfast but being off work today and it was good weather I decided to head out with the fiancee and my son. We headed to bangor which is twenty five minutes away from Belfast and about ten minutes away from the george best airport. It is handy to get to as it is easy acess to the motorway.

Well we drove through the small town centre of Bangor and it was busy for such as small town. It is more like a seaside resort for people taking a wee day trip or a family outing. We parked up for free in the main town centre car park. It is attached to a funfair with rides for the kids and lots of fastfood outlets and chippy vans. It also has a great wee adventure park and some paddiling swans.

It also has a great walkway along the promenade overlooking the bay and all it boats docked up. It has plenty of shops and is good for shopping. It also has about seven bars and the nightlife is pretty good too. Although it would be all the locals and mostly students drinking in the pubs but it as great night life and some lovely restraunts.

A great wee day out for the kids with plenty to do weather it will cost you money or you can do it for free for example a ride on the bike or in the park and a picninc there is plenty to do.

Summary: A good place for all the family
