Bayswater is one of London's most cosmopolitan areas, with the significant diversity of the local population added to by having one of London's biggest concentration of hotels. Notably, there is a significant Arab population, a large number of Americans, a substantial Greek community attracted by London's Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the area is also a centre of London's Brazilian community.

There really is no problem finding a place to eat. Even on a Saturday Evening you can get a seat in a cafe for a large good value meal. Premium Review Bayswater: Bays-what-a Discovery (311 words)

We booked a hotel in Bayswater called The Westminster. I chose it because I was going to be visiting Hyde Park, Kensington and take in a show at Hammersmith. Bayswater has a good central tube station on the circle line that means all the tourist favourites are within easy reach. On arrival we discovered a busy high street with air full of the smells of a wide variety of cuisine. Egyptian food, Indian, Italian, Mexican and so on. There was a real international feel about the place and a mix of age groups. Trendy clothes shops mixed with bargain shops selling souvenirs. Whiteleys Shopping centre contains a gym and lots of quality high street stores. There was a shop for ...  Read the complete review

Bayswater is one of my favourite parts of London and is an area I visit every other weekend and travel through everyday on my bus to work. It is very central and easy to reach via buses and tubes. The central line runs through Queensway(the main shopping street) at the Bayswater end of Queensway and Bayswater station is in the middle of Queensway served by the Circle and District lines. Close by is Royal Oak served by the Hammersmith & City line. One of the best things is Whiteleys which is a wonderful shopping centre containing various shops, restaurants, coffee bars as well as a multicomplex cinema. It is a great place to shop without having to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bayswater: BAYSWATER - A REALLY PLEASANT AREA (190 words)

Bayswater is a really pleasant area with many nice (& expensive!) houses. Bayswater Tube station is situated on Queensway. There are 2 tube stations in the same street, Queensway (Central Line) & Bayswater (Circle & District Line) which makes the transport links for the area very good, there are also several buses that run through or near the area 7, 70, 23, 27 etc. Near Queensway tube is Kensington Gardens, a lovely bit of Hyde park, with a children's play area and a pond. Once in the park you can easily walk to the Serpentine gallery or to Kensington High Street. Queensway itself is a road full of shops mainly clothing & shoes, coffee bars & restaurants. It ...  Read the complete review
