BAYSWATER - A REALLY PLEASANT AREA

Advantages: nice area, plenty to do, good transport links
Disadvantages: expensive to live there
Bayswater is a really pleasant area with many nice (& expensive!) houses. Bayswater Tube station is situated on Queensway. There are 2 tube stations in the same street, Queensway (Central Line) & Bayswater (Circle & District Line) which makes the transport links for the area very good, there are also several buses that run through or near the area 7, 70, 23, 27 etc.
Near Queensway tube is Kensington Gardens, a lovely bit of Hyde park, with a children's play area and a pond. Once in the park you can easily walk to the Serpentine gallery or to Kensington High Street.
Queensway itself is a road full of shops mainly clothing & shoes, coffee bars & restaurants. It has an ice-rink and a specialist rollerblading/ iceskating shop, Whiteleys shopping centre with a UCI cinema and a small art gallery on the top floor. Whiteleys is a shopping centre with class having good quality, interesting shops. Paddington & Notting Hill Gate aren't far from Bayswater either, they are within easy walking distance (about 10-15 mins walk).
This is a really vibrant, pleasant, interesting place to live with lots of things to do and everything is open til late.
