HAVING READ THE OPINION OF BERWICK I CANT BELIVE THAT THIS PERSON THINKS BERWICK IS NOT A GREAT PLACE FOR TOURISTS. I LIVE IN BERWICK AND YES IT IS QUITE BORING FOR US LOCALS(MOST OF THE TIME!) Berwick is a very pleasant town, with a tremendous amount of history surrounding it, but not a town with a great interest for the average tourist. If you are interested in the anglo-celtic history of the area, in particular how the town changed hands between the Scots and the English (13 times between 1296 and 1482), then the town has plenty of places to visit. These include the old castle, the town walls, and in particular the Berwick Barracks, which give an insight into the military history of the area.
