Advantages: hs the makings of a good holiday

Disadvantages: too many drunks arounds

Good old Blackpool -everyone has good memories of the donkeys, going up to the top of the tower and to the circus. i visited Blackpool as a child and then returned with my own children. It is a must in your childhood. I only hope that the local council and the business people realise they need to make a few changes to keep the standards up so the visitors keep going. My childhood memories are also of fish and chips walking along the prom at night followed by a trip on the tram. The guest house breakfast was huge - usually my dad was needed to help my finish my plate as it would be rude to leave it.

Unfortunately when we returned we were a bit disappointed with certain standards, it seemed to have moved away from the family cheeky seaside good time holiday town and had been taken over by hens and stags from all over the uk after a good time weekend of a different type. I'm sure there is room for both in the town. Maybe we just picked the wrong weekend but I would say it wasn't the place it used to be. Shame really as I have some great memories and would have liked for my kids to have lived them too
