Advantages: lots of things to do and see

Disadvantages: bit run down

Blackpool is a great british holiday destination.
Yes it does get alot of stick nowadays because many people prefer to go abroad-for probably the same price with all the cheap flights available many places in Blackpool have had to close due to the lack of customers. So yes alot of the town does look dirty and run down BUT theres still plenty to do.
There are loads of B&Bs, guesthouses and hotels to stay at for as little as £20. Most are situated in great distance of all the major attractions.
Theres lots of places to eat out at including pubs, takeaways restaurants, cafes.
It suits any age from young to old theres something here for anyone. Season runs from March/April to November and in this time theres even more on offer.
Theres the illuminations all along the promenade and there free!! Theres the pleasure beach. There are over 50 rides and attractions and again something for everyone. From beaver creek for the kiddies with the little dipper and log flume to the white knuckles the big one and bling. Theres something for the grandparents the monorail and pleasure beach express. there are many places to eat withn the park incuding cafes, burger king, fish and burger bars, shops selling snacks and the new oyster and ice cream bar-very posh!! You can even stay in there hotel-the Big Blue!!
Then theres the tower and circus open all year round. It recently undergone a 3 million pound refurb including a new much better jungle jims play area!! Theres even a circus on which is included in the entry price. Bargain! Theres a lot to do here including the ballroom, tower top ride, dinosaur ride, walk of faith, and much more. there is a new restaurant which serves refreshments and meals. Theres also a pizzeria. You cant miss the Tower when coming to Blackpool.
Theres more attractions all around Blackpool-Sandcastle Waterworld, also recently undergone a huge refurbishment now with even more water attractions.Theres the zoo now with dinosaur park, the Sealife Centre, Waxworks, Model Village, Stanley park anfd the Golden Mile which has shops, places to eat and amusement arcades.
At night theres all the clubs and pubs in and around the town centre and also shows and concerts at the Winter Gardens and Grand Theatre,
Shopping is great especially now the new Hounds Hill shopping centre has opened-lots of shops new and old and places to eat.
Theres a wide choice of accomodation bed and breakfasts, hotels, guest houses and travel inns.
Blackpool is definetly a great place to visit for any age and makes a great holiday. theres always something going on

Summary: loads to do places to stay things to see
