Ok so it is not exactly a city, but it is a place that everyone knows, even if you have never been there.

You either love it or loath it, there is no in-between. There is the pleasure beach that is second to none, with the biggest roller coaster in the world (heavily disputed, but it is BIG) and new rides every year. The three piers are now very individual in what they have to offer, north having a theatre, central having the Big Wheel, and south having a bit of everything.

The theaters always have outstanding shows of all shapes and forms, usually with at least one big west end musical or big singer.

You cannot go to Blackpool without going to the tower, now a multi level theme park with attractions for young and old including the circus with Keith Harris (ok, isn't it time orville and cuddles gave up!) And the tower itself.

I would never want to live there, or even go there for my annual holiday, but I love it for the week I have there every couple of years. Blackpool, never let it change.
