Advantages: Mixture of small independant shops to High Street Retailers, Lovely Walks

Disadvantages: Have to use the cliff railway to get between the towns if walking is difficult

Bridgnorth is a small town in Shorpshire, England, running alongside the Severn Vally. The town is split into High and Low Town, this relates to the towns relation to the River Severn which runs through the town.

Within the Low Town there is the Severn Vally Railway, which is a steam railway which runs from the town through to Kidderminster, stopping at Bewdley, Arley, Highly and Hampton Load on route. You can walk alongsde the river in lowtown with many cafes running alongside, there is also a supermarket (Summerfield) and the newly opened Marks and Spencer food outlet. You can find a number of pubs and resturants, China Dinner being a favourite of mine serving Cantonise, Chinese and Thai food. You can also walk along the river in low town and reach the locsa Rugby ground.

Moving to high town; you can walk there up the hill or take the cliff railway you get to the Upper part of the town where the main high street is situated. Here you can find many more pubs and resturants alongside independant reatailers (Bemans butchers being a favourite with the locals!) alongside bigger retailers such as Superdrug, Boots and WH Smiths. You can find Lloys bank on the corner of the town as well as Nationwide Building Society. For a small quaint town there is alot to offer people.

It has its landmarks such as the ruins of Bridgnorth Castle, built in 1101. The is also the 'theatre on the steps' which is situated between the high and low town, you can even find the Majestic Cinema which originally had one screen but having been modernised now has 3.

The population of Bridgnorth is believed to be around 12216 and if you did feel likehaving a trip to the town I feel it is definately worth the visit!!

Summary: Market town found in Shorpsire England, River Severn running through it
