BridlingtonNewest Review: ... the fair gets very busy but never seems to be too full. Close to the funfair is Bridlington's Leisure World which is an indoor swimming facility with huge pools and slides and plenty of fun for all the family, as well as catering for children they offer separate times of the day where they restrict access to the over 60's, ladies only, fitness swimming etc so you don't have to be bothered by ... more |

Long golden beaches, a harbour and a newly renovated promenade complete with fun fair, Bridlington has a lot to offer day trippers and holiday makers alike. Situated on the East coast of Yorkshire a few miles away from Scarborough it is a beautiful seaside town that I love visiting. My wife's parents always loved Brid' and as a little girl my wife spent her school holidays there in her parents caravan, so when we were looking to spend a sum of money on a static caravan for ourselves our first choice where to site it was Bridlington. Our caravan park is situated 7 miles away from the centre of Bridlington up on the sea front and the views overlook the sea and ... Read the complete review

NAME OF LOCATION: Bridlington, Yorkshire on the east coast of the UK. BACKGROUND: As a St John member I annually have to go on a day trip with a local old people’s group so that they have first aid cover on the journey. When I get to the destination (which in the past have been Skegness and Llandudno) I am free to do as I please until the coach returns in the evening/afternoon. The group then arranges for a stop en-route back to Chesterfield at a pub for a drink. They are very welcoming and I enjoy these trips. This year (2006), we went to Bridlington. ATTRACTIONS 1. Bridlington Harbour Heritage Museum (The Harbour Tel 01262 608346) – this is ... Read the complete review

During the age of 10 - 18 I lived in the tiny village of Flamborough Head just outside Bridlington. During that time I watched a once very popular seaside resort somehow slowly ebb toward it's demise. So when did it all begin? When I first moved there I thought that it was the best thing since sliced bread, but what child doesn't? I mean there were the arcades mainly what used to be known as Joyland and is now called the Forum. There was that little funfair on the harbour which, although quite expensive, was great fun. However this was spoilt when they removed Jungle Jims (Indiana Jones) and replaces it with, guess what, what every seaside town ... Read the complete review

Hey, so you want some nice fish and chips? Go to Brid! Bridlington is along the longest stretch of Coastline in Britain and the East Yorkshire. I used to visit Brid all the time when my Mum and Dad were alive and I was young. My first experience of the seaside resort was when I was about five! We travelled down to stay with my Auntie in Hull, and then travelled down on the train! It was fun! The beach was nice, although the water was (and still is) a little sandy, and i remember going in the water with a white T-Shirt over my cossie and coming back with a grey Shirt! Years later I revisited Bridlington with my BF and stayed in ... Read the complete review
