Advantages: Loads of character and on the sea

Disadvantages: Prices are rising due to becoming popular with Londoners to live

Other than the obvious highlights of Brighton, such as the seaside location, the thing I love the most about this place it the casual laid-back atmosphere of the people who live here. This town is completely unpretentious and accepting of anyone from all walks of life. This attitude of the locals is probably what makes it the gay capital of the UK.

I chose to live here over London and it's the best decision I've ever made. It is becoming like a smaller version of London slowly but surely as it is only 48 minutes away by train but it has "so far" only taken the good bits of London life! There are some fabulous resaurants, especially if you are veggie and great nightlife.

The seafront in the summer is a mixture of mass tourism and dreadlocked locals enjoying a day at the beach.

Brighton has long attracted the "artistic types" from all over and the art community here leaks out into the entire community making it a very colorful and friendly place.
