Advantages: Nice setting, cosy size

Here is my review of the Bristol Hippodrome based on our visit to see Bill Bailey on the 29th of August.

==== Location ====

Set near the quays the Hippodrome is in a prime location and very easily reachable as long as you know where you are going, there are lots of busses and taxis that can take you there if you do not know your way (we got lost coming out of the bus station) If you fancy a bite to eat before you go then there are a lot of resturaunts like Bella Italia and Pizza Hut.

==== Size and seating. ====

The Hippodrome is quite small, but this isn't really a bad thing, if anything it makes you feel more involved with the performance you have gone to see. The seats were relatively comfortable but you didn't get a lot of legroom which could have made things difficult had there not been an intermission.

==== On site refreshments ====

Here is where I feel VERY let down, we were charged £20 for 4 drinks which we could have got for about half the price in the bar next door to the venue, I think it is shameful that places like this can just charge whatever they want and consumers are just expected to accept it.

Overall our experience of the Hippodrome was good and was only let down by the drinks. We did however have a very enjoyable time and I would deffinately go there again.

Summary: a pleasant venue.
