Center Parcs (England)
Author Name: Ella Smith
Center Parcs (England)
Advantages: Clean ,comfortable, warm and well equipped accommodation. Park beautifully decorated for Christmas.
Disadvantages: None that we encountered
We stayed in Whinfell Forest centre - 12th - 16th November 2010 for the celebration of our grandson's 30th birthday.
Family of eight adults, two babies and a dog.
The accommodation was immaculately clean, well equipped and warm.
Our great grandson (22 months) absolutely loved being able to walk around in the woodland at the rear of the building with his great grandad.
My son-in-law collapsed in the park centre with a viral infection - the third member of the family to have it; although two of our party had been ill before we left home.
Someone called the medics and two nurses were there in just a couple of minutes.
They brought all the necessary equipment and checked him over thoroughly, brought a wheel chair and insisted he and my daughter were taken back to our lodge by a member of staff in a mini bus.
The driver saw them inside and told them to call the service centre if necessary. The nurses called twice to make sure he was feeling better, then again on Monday morning before we left.
After one of the children was sick on a duvet cover we rang to request a replacement cover, a full set of bedlinen was delivered to the door.
The Santa experience was wonderful, and we have lovely video film and pictures of a great time.
From our entry to exit each member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming and efficient.
Congratulations and thanks to all!
We were more than satisfied with the experience and will not hesitate to return or to recommend CenterParcs to family and friends.
Summary: A happy family experience with first class staff. Visit to Santa was magic and well worth the money.
