We visited Center Parcs in Longleat, Wiltshire in December 2008 and really enjoyed the experience. As a young couple we enjoyed our executive apartment. It was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. It was also very conveniently located next to the Plaza which houses the swimming pool, shop and a couple of restaurants. We ...  Read the complete review

I have been going to Center Parcs since I cannot remember so have experienced it from being a young child to an adult. I have recently returned from a mid-week break with my two brothers (21 and 17) and my boyfriend. We stayed at Sherwood Forest as we always have done, its close to home and we've never had any ...  Read the complete review

I went to Center Parc last year in November for a weekend Friday to Monday break. I Did not think I would enjoy Center Parcs as it looked like a boring place for old people! It also looked like a place you would only go to if you were fit as the site is huge and you are not allowed to drive around it! However, the things I ...  Read the complete review

We've just come back from Sherwood after a mid-week break. Yesterday at 5.00pm there was a power cut across the majority of the site - accommodation, shops, restaurants, and lesiure facilities. We happened to be in the swimming pool and were appalled by the thoroughly disorganised attitiude of the 'lifeguards' on duty at the ...  Read the complete review

This is my absolutely favourite holiday destination in the world! I am due to go to Center Pacs Elveden Forest tomorrow and this will be my 6th Center Parcs holiday. I'm not sure where to start! When you get there you will be instantly struck by the sense of peace you feel at being in the middle of a forest. Once you have ...  Read the complete review

I really enjoyed the time I spent in CP Whinfell (weekend October 2008). We stayed in an exec apartment which was everything we needed for just the two of us. As a young couple (24) we had so much fun on bikes, in the swim centre, and taking advantage of the beautiful forest area. Yes, it's all quite dated, and I think its in need of a facelift, but its completely what you make of it! If you're hung up on decor and turn your nose up at anything showing any level of wear then don't book. If you're more bothered about quality time with family, friends or your partner, you'll have a great time. Excellent restaurants, bike tracks, Starbucks (bliss!) and space to breathe! Fantastic time spent here.

Stayed at CP longleat Sep 08 - never ever again. Executive (ha ha) Apartment was extreemly dated, showed signs of wear and tear and stunk!!! Every doorhandle/surface one touched (in the apartment and parkwide) was filthy and greasy. The whole place needed a good clean (but hold on, that would eat into ...  Read the complete review

We recently came back from Centre Parcs in Longleat. Choosing to go over a long weekend as opposed to our last visit to Nottingham being a midweek break, we decided last time we were too tired by the last day to appreciate it. Nottingham and Longleat are similar and different in so many different ways and it's a shame they couldn't ...  Read the complete review

Currently in Centre Parcs Elvedon Forrest with my parents and brother and would like to point out this is our 6th visit and definitely our last. The whole villa smells strongly of urine, everything was uncleaned. We had hair around the sinks, mould on the curtains, stains on the beds. On arrival at Center Parcs we unloaded everything at the Chalet and left our car in the central car park. Here the car would stay until it was time to depart. This is great, a chance to holiday without driving everywhere. Better still it makes it a safe place to cycle around. When you arrive you get a book which includes a plan of the ...  Read the complete review

I've just come back from a mid-week break at Center Parcs, Whinfell Forest and that was my third and not last visit there! Well, we had a brilliant time! I managed to bag a late deal and my daughter (8) and I stayed in the Lakeview Hotel at Elveden Forest Centerparcs. It cost £199 for a weekend (3 night) break. Came back from Elvedon yesterday. First visit to a Center Parc, most deffinatley the last. Over priced and over rated. Totaly ripped off, filthy hotel, stains on sheets etc.. god forbid it rains as then you are in trouble, stayed 3 nights and whole thing cost £600, oh and that was myself and a nine yr old child!!!! not an entire family.Save your money and go camping, wish I did, normally do something like this but decided to try for a treat. Honestly if you thinking about it then I advise you really do not do it.

I used to go to Center Parcs at least once a year when I was a kid, with my parents and younger sister. We loved loved loved it, so when I found a cheap deal for the holiday park we'd loved as kids (Elveden) I decided to book it up for me and my boyfriend. What had looked lively and fun in 1993 looked dated and sad in 2008. The villas look nasty and the whole place is falling to bits and cynical. The restaurants are expensive and the food very average. The subtropical swimming paradise looks like it's not been touched since 1993, every corner you turn is a new excuse for them to rinse you of your hard earned cash- in short, it's a mess. Save your money; go somewhere else.

As an extended family, we have been to Elveden Forest Center Parcs at least 30 times - but never again. Our heating and hot water failed, yet the staff were not interested and it took repeated requests to get any action; a new pump being required. The salt pool is dirty - there being grafitti inscribed in the dirt on the waterline. The villas are being upgraded but not to a high enough specification to justify the spiralling costs. All this is very regretful. We were at Elveden when it was damaged by fire a few years ago and at that time the staff and customer service were superb. Our complaints regarding this last visit went unanswered. It's easier to lose a reputation than regain it!

just got back today from a completely disasterous break at whinfell. our first two visits there i couldn't have faulted, but this time they put is bang in the middle of a building site (they are re-furbing some of the lodges, cement mixers, lorrys, vans, dumper trucks etc all hurtling past the front door, mud everywhere, hammering, knocking, drilling (you get the idea!). not a bit like the advert for peace and quiet. they also closed the road meaning about another mile on our walk to get to anywhere on the park. they had the cheek to charge us a £25 fee for selecting one of these lodges! they didn't mention any building works on the phone or the website. absolutely furious. won't be going back.
