I am originally from Corby, and in a way I couldn't wait to get away...until I got away.

Since being away at uni, it is nice to get back to my home town. Anyone who knows Corby immediately thinks of the bad reputation the town has, which is itself outdated. Corby has hardly any trouble for its 60,000+ population, in fact it has a feeling of community for a town of this size. Alot of that does come from its large Scottish population, but all nationalities are welcome.

Corby has undergone a few changes in the last decade, some were not welcomed at the time (such as the 'revamp of the town centre') but upon reflection, most people feel the improvements.

Corby has a reasonable nightlife, but for those of you who need more impressive nightlife, Corby is an excellent base for all clubs in the Midlands, Leicester is only a short hop away, £8 for a return coach journey straight to Leicesters top clubs.

For those of you who already live there, just escape for a short while, and you will find yourself coming back for more.
