Coventry has never had a good reputation for anything. It has always been seen as a bit of a hole with bags of economics and social problems. I am a Mancunian living in a self-imposed exile in this city and I have been here for quite a while. There have been years of depression and then mediocrity, but it is a city with a future.
Coventry is a large place: the 10th biggest city in England. It has all of the advantages of a city but has excellent roads which mean it is highly accessible. You never have to go too far for anything. recent announcements have suggested that a crop of new shops are coming to the city, names like Ikea and Gap to name a few.
Unemplyment has slowly fallen in recent times and there has been a drop in crime and vandalism. New housing development s and commercial ventures are injecting new life.
The future is bright.
