History 1st thanks to wiki....
Doncaster is the site of a Roman fort which was built in the 1st century AD at the site of a crossing across the River Don. The Roman empirical command of Ninius called this fort "Caer Daun". Later the commands of Antoninus Pius and Notitia called this fort Danum, from which the town derives the Don part of its name; caster a Saxon word corrupted from the Latin original Castra, meaning a military camp.

Now the important stuff...
Doncaster has seen massive change in the past 10 years. we have a new airport, shopping centre, bus exchange and many new bars. doncaster has to be the best night out in yorkshire - the bars are so close together us northern girls neadn't wear a coat out! taxis are easy and cheap to come by and there are many a kebab shop for the midnight munchies!

the airport is handy and should soon be busier with more airliners using it. ryanair is a great addition meaning we can get to benidorm very quickly and cheaply!

Summary: great place to live and work
