Advantages: Lovely atmosphere & excellent fodder!

Disadvantages: occassionaly lack of seating - tables not big enough for all the food!!!

The steak sandwiches in this place are to die for!

I have found that there are quite a few negative reviews around about the eagle, some are about food and some are about the staff.

I have to say that I think the food is highly dependent on the chef that is cooking that night, some seem to be better at cooking meat than others! I have however never had bad food at the eagle and you definately get what you pay for!

The atmosphere is lovely, and the wines are all great, this is a brilliant pub just for drinking and having a chat with your mates...all the other drinkers are laid back and friendly, it is definately a place where you will end up having a random conversation with someone at the bar & becoming best friends (well for that 5 mins anyway!)

You can see all the food being cooked in front of you and you order at the bar...you can not be shy at this pub, there is quite limited seating either that or too many people want to come in!!! so if you want a seat and spy a space on the end of a table - ask!

i would definately reccomend this pub for after work drinks and maybe some food (its what everyone else seems to be doing) a great place for sunday lunch too!!!

Summary: nice atmosphere, friendly customers, excellent steak sandwich!
