Advantages: Lots of places to eat, stay and shop
Disadvantages: Several students frequent the town
Exeter is a small city in the South West. It has a gorgeous Cathederal, and alot of great places to shop too. There is a new development that has not long been built in Exter - The Princesshay shopping centre. This shopping centre is open air, and covers a large area.
Exeter also has a few train stations and a bus station. There are several car parks around Exeter too, so travel into and out of Exeter is fairly easy.
There are several Hotels and Bed and Breakfasts in Exeter, mostly all within walking distance of the city centre. This makes a longer visit to Exeter easier and more affordable.
Exeter also has its own University which is based close to the city centre also. There are therefor several students in the twon on a regular basis. There are also a lot of nice places to eat in Exeter - ranging from Fast Food to fine Cuisine.
All in all Exeter is a lovely place to visit, whether it is for a day or longer.
Summary: A lovely City with a Beautiful Cathederal, a pleasure to visit

- 11/01/09 Yes, very sorry jasminesarah, my typing is somehwat lacking.
The bed and breakfasts by St Davids Station are very good value for money. £45 a night at the Telestar and also at the Oakcliff next door. Very close to both train stations and also close walk to town.
Whit star inn, reasonabaly priced but no breakfast. In town close to most pubs and restuarants.
Thistel hotel. Opposite the main city train station. Quite expensive but you get what you pay for. Prices vary dependant on how you book. Breakfast to your room at no extra cost. The bridal suite is lovely.
Hope this helps a bit. Again so sorry about the spellings. |

- 09/01/09 Not much info in this - 'several hotels'? You could say most of this about any town without even visiting - do you have any specific info? Cathedral, by the way, there is no second e. |
