Deliverance country in the cold and wet. (Gourock)

Advantages: Going there will make you appreciate your life. Disadvantages: Too many to list
I have had the misfortune to visit this place and what a dump! I flew into Glasgow and hired a car to drive there. It took about 45 minutes to get there, driving through mainly industrial areas. The town itself consists mainly of a strip of high street with relatively run down shops with a smattering of scottish stone built houses. To the back of the high street are a number of streets lined with what look like drab 1940's council houses. Check out "The Wee Chippie" which is a grubby looking chip shop serving the scottish national dish of fried everything in batter. Summary: A place God has clearly had nothing to do with. |
