Newest Review: ... Mulin wet) and Saints bay. To get to Moulin Huet from my Nanas I have to walk down about 200 steps that wind down the cliff. (There is a café at the bottom. Thank Goodness) If I want to go to Saints bay the walk is just a winding slope with a few steps. Both of these beaches are relatively small which is ideal if you have got small children who tend to wander. This is an island and no matter where you turn you are sure to find a beach. In August this year I am off to Guernsey, (One of the Channel Islands) for a fortnight. I spent many a happy, what used to be called the 7weeks holidays over there as a child and enjoyed every minute of it. And have been there since, and still enjoyed it just as much. I suppose in a way I am fairly lucky as my Nana lives in Guernsey, so I don’t have the problem of finding a hotel. I booked a direct flight from Manchester (UK) last week for £135. A couple of weeks ago I found myself on a small aircraft bound for the Ilsand of Gurensey. I was going to be staying in St Peter Port and I was expecting to find a small, sleepy fishing village. I was pleasantly surprised! I got a Hire Car from the Airport and began the drive to St Peter Port. I could not find my hotel at all and ended up going round and round. I ended up in Car Parks and dead ends and only just stopped myself in time from going up the pedestrian shopping area. In the end I asked a passer by who had seen me drive past 4 times already.
