Newest Review: ... and only just stopped myself in time from going up the pedestrian shopping area. In the end I asked a passer by who had seen me drive past 4 times already. The streets are quite narrow and I wouldn't advise anyone to hire a big car. Also you should pick up a street map. These are usually in hotels, at the Airport etc and are free. We found our hotel and had a walk about the town which was very pretty. There was lots to do. There are sightseeing attractions such as the German Underground museum. There are plenty of shops from High St names to knick knack shops. There are many pubs which all had a friendly atmosphere. The food was lovely... more

A couple of weeks ago I found myself on a small aircraft bound for the Ilsand of Gurensey. I was going to be staying in St Peter Port and I was expecting to find a small, sleepy fishing village. I was pleasantly surprised! I got a Hire Car from the Airport and began the drive to St Peter Port. I could not find my hotel at all and ended up going round and round. I ended up in Car Parks and dead ends and only just stopped myself in time from going up the pedestrian shopping area. In the end I asked a passer by who had seen me drive past 4 times already.
