Advantages: Loads to do for all ages

Disadvantages: Can be expensive

I love this place. Hatton Country World has something for all ages. Parking can get a bit mad at peak season and on a nice day, school holidays but they open up the fields so there is always somewhere to park.

On entering you will find a number of small shops. Crafting shops, jewellery, old fashioned sweets, toys, clothes and farm foods plus other gift shops as well. This in itself is great to have a little look around though I would say that some of the prices can be a bit steep! The shops are more for teh adults though there is a toy shop and a book shop as well that the children will appreciate. This bit of Hatton is free.

If you want to go into the farm, the main reason for going if you have little ones, then you do have to pay. It is quite expensive if you are just visiting once but it is worth it. If you intend to come back a few times then it is well worth getting a season ticket - bargain! My son however is free as he is under two, I bought a season ticket lasting a year and this cost me £39. I can go to the farm whenever I like for nothing oher than the cost of petrol. I think in the summer months it is about £10 per person to get into the farm and over the winter months it is about £7, they also do a family ticket that would save you a few pounds.

In the farm there are lots of things going on, holding the animals, daft duck trials, sheep racing, bird-o-batics, as well as more seasonal activities too such as a maize maze and halloween activities At Christmas there is always a visit Santa. Theere are alot of animals to see and feed if you wouldlike to buy some animal food, for example, goats, cows, reindeer, sheep, pigs, guinea pigs. If you go at teh right time of year you will see lots of baby animals too. There is play equipment as well as a sand pit, trampolines and slides. There are plenty of places to sit for a picnic outside in teh farm area and also a restaurant and burger bar place for buying food there. As with a lot of the places you visit like this the food is expensive so if it is a nice day it is worth taking a picnic. You can enter and exit the farm throughout the day as you have a wrist band on and the cars are parked relatively close so it is possible to not have to carry a picnic around with you all of the time.

There is, of course a souvenir shop. This is quite small and so not easy to get a buggy through if you have one with you. The shop fits a maximum of 5 people in without gettng in each others way too much. This is unfortunate as I think it does encourage you to either skip it totally or rush through as you feel you are in the way of others. The majority of the gifts in the shop are animal related. This is a great family day out!

I love Hatton Country World and I am have definately made the most of my season ticket. I will definately get another one next year. So if you are in the Worcestershire area and you want to go to a farm, check this place out, it's fun and it's educational.

Summary: Fab farm fun!
