Advantages: Shopping, things to do, nice villages

Disadvantages: People visiting the clubs with bad behaviour letting us down

I don't know if I should admit this looking at your reviews, but I live here! And I'm going to stand up for Hemel Hempstead.

We're quite a small town. There are lots of nice little villages here, I spent 21 years growing up in Great Gaddesden.

There are lots of nice walks and parks to go to in Hemel. I now live a 10 minute walk from the town centre with my fiance and two young Daughters and we're all very happy.

The town has been updated and now looks more modern. We now have a big 3 floor Debenhams, TK Maxx, H&M, Waterstones, plus more. Our River Island and New Look has been updated and looks really good.

I can get anything I need in Hemel with Apsley retail park another 10 minutes away from me.

There is Jarmans park which is good during the day but I have to admit idiots do go here at night to the clubs. They have got a cinema, bowling, ice skating, pool, pizza hut and more. Hemel sport centre is good and I'm a member of the gym and am very happy with it.

The 'Magic roundabout' which we are famous for isn't as hard as it looks, just treat it as each single roundabout and you'll be fine!

There are some nice restaurants and pubs here, Aroma, Banana Leaf, Marchmont Arms, Full House, Swan Inn and lots more.

Summary: A nice place to live if you respect yourself and your property
