In a short answer - NO! I have loived here about - oh lemme see - 9 months. And to be frank (not that Frank would know!) I really can not stand this place. House prices are astronimical, beer is ecpensive and the only thing that the town has - is a castle. Being 19 and a northener - I have found the transition to Gentry life, as I call it, very difficult. It seems that any outsiders are seen as tourists, which is understandable. But for us outsiders who happen to live in the town its very hard. I wouldnt put people off comming for a holiday here, as the town is ideally situated for many places to visit, including Birmingham, Coventry, Royal Lemington Spa, Stratford Upon Avon, and thre National Agricultural Centre. The town houses some fo the finest eateries that I have ever seen, and some of the local ales are marvelous - if not a little pricey. The town centre leaves a lot to be desired, having an influx, of banks, and charity shops, and most of all Kenilworth has 28 Pubs and Bars - marvelous eh! The castle itself is quite a good profitable attractin for the Locals. In the suimmer time it brings in revenue for the pubs at the castle end of the town, and many iof the guest houses are full to capacity with american and japanese tourists. The area is also home to many of the best cycle routes I have ever ridden - and I have ridden a few. All in all - although - slow - sleepy - and very historic, Kenilworth isnt a bad place - but i wouldnt live here if you had a choice!
