Kirkwall is the main town, on the main Island in the Orkney Islands,

These are a group of Islands, just of the very top of Scotland. Kirkwall is situated on the mainland of the orkney Islands, but not on the mainland of Scotland.

I found Kirkwall to be a lovely place to visit. The town was beautiful, and the people were incredibly friendly! The thing about Kirkwall, was the fact that even though you were in one of the most Isolated spots in the UK, it just didn't feel like it!

The town was bustling with all sorts of activities, and there were plenty of shops to visit, and places to eat out at. There seemed to be a wonderful thriving community, and everyone was pleased that I had come to visit such an amazing place. I was only on the island for 1 day, but I had some wonderful seafood, and I absolutely loved the place.

If you get the opportunity to visit this place, then don't pass it up!
