Advantages: Nice caravans if you pay
Disadvantages: .
My husband (partner at the time) went to Lakeland, Haven in October 2007. We stayed for Saturday-Saturday in October and paid nearly £300. We had a 3 bedroom caravan which for the 2 of us was plently, we kept clothes and luggage in the spare rooms.
The caravan was Silver and was lovely, we were right next to the entertainment, couldnt have been in a better location, especially considering I was 6 months pregnant. The walk was seconds!
Accomodation was a small tv with a fire and quite large seating area. A good cooker and kitchen area/cupboards - all you'd need for a week away.
Down the corridor you had to the right a shower cubicle then a toilet. You then had a twin followed round by the double and then by the single.
To be honest, the park was pretty dead. It may well have been the time of year though. There wasn't much going on, there was a very small and overcrowded swimming pool and an arcade which was always buzzing. Besides that, there wasn't much else.
Can't comment on children entertainment as I didn't have my son at the time!
I think if you ca, book another haven site, although the trouble may have been the time of year!
Summary: Maybe try another haven?

- 08/02/09 £300 seems very expensive for a week in a caravan considering you could get a last minute package holiday for the same price. |

- 08/02/09 Sorry for the low rating but there is barely any detail in this review - you say the Haven site was pants but don't actually explain why it was. You don't mention what the entertainment was, and fail to mention anything available for children and families. If you edit your review let me know and I will re-rate. |
