Leighton Buzzard in GeneralNewest Review: ... no interest in the town as there is nothing to do or go. Maybe once in a while it might be someones birthday and we might meet for a drink in the town prior to leaving before going to milton keynes where the variation in bars, clubs and also general night life is so much nicer and maybe a little classier. In Leighton Buzzards defence, i do agree that it does lose out on attraction as there are so many more dominating towns/cities near by and i would say that maybe it is a nicer to have a quieter town in amongst all of the hustle and bustle of lets say Luton, Milton Keynes, Aylesbury and London jus tto mention a few. I do wish that there w... more |

Leighton Buzzard is neither exciting or boring, it sits in the middle. Being 21 and a full time worker living in a village 2 minutes away from town, i could honestly say i take no interest in the town as there is nothing to do or go. I have been in Leighton Buzzard for many years now and I believe the town is very boring! Every weekend I have to leave the town to somewhere like Milton Keynes as they have a massive Shopping Centre for all ages! There’s also is a Cinema, which has ten screens! I believe that Leighton buzzard is a thousand times worse! Leighton Buzzard has one Cinema screen which is in a Library and also shows films about a month later than it was set to come out! The Attractions: In Leighton Buzzard there is nothing to do! Down the town there is a couple of shops, which are mostly charity shops, and a market that doesn’t have anything to offer it just really ... Read the complete review

Vandyke Upper School and Community College opened in 1976 as a purpose built 13-18 comprehensive school to serve the town of Leighton Buzzard on the western edge of Bedfordshire. It has an impressive range of facilities including a theatre, a floodlit artificial turf pitch and other specialist accommodation. School inspectors were very complimentary about the school, most especially about the high quality of teaching and students' enjoyment of Vandyke: "There is a particularly high proportion of good and very good teaching ..." "Students enjoy school life, express pride in their school ..." Vandyke was awarded a ... Read the complete review

Well, I have lived in Leighton Buzzard for nearly 18 years now. And to tell you the truth, I hate it, and I can’t wait to escape. It is an average size town with nothing going for it. Surrounding it our several villages, and again, not much going on there. The main advantage is that it is close to the every growing Milton Keynes, and if you stand by the train station on a weekend day, you can see all the teenagers flock up to Milton Keynes. The reason for this is that Leighton Buzzard has nothing to do for the teenagers. The High Street has no major chain stores, and is full of little partnerships/sole traders that close down after a couple of months. I ... Read the complete review

Okay Leighton you either love it or hate it and i think this depends on your age, if your a middle aged person or anything higher then it is perfect. Its a very quiet town situated in between Milton Keyens and Luton, which are two very useful places. It is also on the train line to London so is therefore perfect for commuting to London or Birmingham. As for the town itself it has some very good qualiteies the High Street is adaquet for everyday uses like food shopping/grocerys but after that it is not very usefull otherwise. Then there is a Libary with a small theater built into it and that is the High Street. Also in situated Leighton is a Leisure center and a very ... Read the complete review
