Leighton Buzzard in general Reviews

Newest Review: ... but nowa days the drugs have calmed down alot, thats not to say there isnt any drug dealers anymore there a still quite a few just not nearly as many as there use to be. The council estates like Meadow Way, Oakley Green and various other estates are still currently not nice places to live however and there layout is a hotbed for criminal activity and in the near future will most likley return to the much worse 2005-2008 state it use to be like. The amount of good shops in Leighton is very small if any, it is still mainly crappy small shops that the middle age residents like so much for some strange reason or chairty shops, there is a Mo... more

I must say, I'm quite surprised reading these reviews. I'm a young professional and have lived in the town for just over a year. I commute into London every day and clearly live 'on the nice side of town' from what I've read because I've never had a problem and find the high street very nice. There's some very nice foodie independent retailers and a waitrose. Moreover the pubs are nice too.

Leighton is a town in Bedfordshire that is quite shit to be honest... It really has nothing to do but has drastically improved over the years in terms of drugs and crime but for how long i dont know. Back in around 2005-2008 it was very bad you couldnt go anywhere without seeing druggies or being offerd drugs (http://www.mk-news.co.uk/News/Towns-dirty-little-secret.htm news report of leightons drug problem) but nowa days the drugs have calmed down alot, thats not to say there isnt any drug dealers anymore there a still quite a few just not nearly as many as there use to be. The council estates like Meadow Way, Oakley Green and various other estates are still currently . Read the complete review

Leighton Buzzard Is a lovely town to live' I moved here in 2002 from Aylesbury but grew up in Stevenage. I have two children now that were born in Stoke Mandeville hospital which is a excellent hospital and close to leighton Buzzard. To bring up a young family in this town is excellent as it is safe, small enough to know the area but big enough to have space and enjoyment! We often bike along the canal to the Globe for a family tea then after have a slow bike ride back. Its no more then 40mins to London for the night life and shopping and 15miles to Milton Keynes for a day out at the cinema and meal. My children can play out in the park on there own knowing it is safe. Leighton Buzzard provides Everything a town should be and I would not move any where else!

Well, I must be a true leightoner as I have lived here my whole life, it may not be the best place in the world to live but over the last couple of years it has been getting better. Leighton Buzzard is a funny little town in between Luton and Milton Keynes about 30 miles each way. There are many different types of families which live here, there are the millionaires and very rich people who live on one side of the town, another side where all the run down houses and old flats are etc, but the rest of it is just normal really, just your typical everyday family. We do have a high street not that there's a lot there, the main shops are probably, Woolworths, ... Read the complete review

I have lived in Leighton Buzzard now for a long time now!! Unfortunately for as long as I have been here nothing new has happened!! I have grown older and so has Leighton Buzzard but I have changed and Leighton has not. There is very little to do in Leighton Buzzard, there are plenty of parks for little kids but there is not much for the older generations to do. There is a leisure centre in Linslade called Tidenfoot but you cant really cant that as its in Linslade. There is a miniature railway, which runs straight trough the town, and there is a park at one end and a museum in the other end. This is very good for Kids as the park is well equipped. ...
