Liverpool has been my little place to go when I feel I need uplifting Way before the capital of culture 08 Liverpool has been an extremely great place to go. This year It seems that the accent is changing as more people from outside of liverpool are starting to shop here in their bucket loads, I've always looked up at the liverpool people as they are alot friendlier, the liverpool heritage comes more from Ireland as from the early days of the shipping trade, I visited the Albert Dock alot as the buildings are beautifull and you can look out at the River Mersey and watch the ferries go by.
Sometimes Liverpool has festivals in which the QE2 and other cruisliners have docked up for things like a maritime event.
Keeping in the Dock you can visit the Maritime Museum and learn about the titanic or visit the Tate Gallery free of charge, they have more museums and gallery's than any other city outside of london.
If you're a fan of the Beatles then the underground museum is also located here.
there are many bars and clubs on the Albert dock which are good for a great night out.
The Shopping area is huge, and laid out really nicely, it's about 5 minutes walk down from the train station where you'll find a tesco's metro, Debenhams and many other shops, you should go and see the new area called Liverpool One which also has a new cinema.

Summary: Great Place to live and visit
