Great cottage break with amazinf scenery

I have recently returned from a weeks cottage break in Llandelio, Wales. Every year my parents book a cottage where dogs are welcome so their 2 dogs can have there annual break. I know this may sound made but that's my family.

      **My Accommodation

The cottage was booked through Cottage for You. The cottage was called "Bran"

The link above will take you to the cottage itself. It was reasonably cheap at £370.00 for 7 night and sleeps 6 (1 double bedroom, upstairs, 1 twin room, upstairs & another town room, downstairs). Also most cottage charge an additional fee for taking your own dogs, this place had no additional fee for them.
The couple who own the cottage live in a house adjacent to this cottage and are very lovely people but don't interfere with you while on your stay. The view from the cottage is amazing; you look over the farms field which is stocked with cattle with the back drop of the mountains.

      **The Town
We parked by the river (free of charge) and walked in to town which was only a 5 minuet walk. There were quaint shops there none of your "normal high street shops" there was a local fruit and veg shop which stocked local supplies at a very reasonable price, wedding shop "Huw Rees", Craft & Gift shops, Local butchers & bakery's.
For me the best shops in Llandelio to have a nose around was "Igam Ogam" which stocked clothes and accessories and a children's shops, which for the life of me has escaped my brain (sorry - once I remember it I will update).
The town wasn't a hard walk at all most of it was on the flat but beware some of the paths are narrow.

      **Local Walks
Abergorlech Forest Walk - This walk is beautiful and on a sunny day is great as it's under the shade of trees and lots of bench's on the walk. To get to Abergorlech is about a 20 minuet drive from Llandelio but definitely worth it if you enjoy a pleasant easy, reasonably flat walk, have a dog or 2 to walk and it even has an intermediate bike route.

      **Things to do

-Red Kite Centre - I won't go into too much detail here as I will do its own review on this attraction but a pleasant couple of hours watching the red kites swoop and dive for food followed by a cream tea or ice cream in the café.

-Dinefwr Park and Castle - The Iconic Park and Castle was a great half day out for us. There were 4 adults and 2 dogs enjoying this day. You can take dogs but they must remain on the lead. W walked round the outer park which had beautiful views and deer parks around.
There is a National Trust House which you can look around also and from the literature definitely worth a look. Next time when I don't have the dogs with me I will explore Newton House.

      **My Opinion on Llandelio

When it come to holidays away for me I like to have lots of stuff locally to do or at least a short drive away but being heavily pregnant this holiday suited me to a treat...In one word relaxing. The area was quiet and had a slow pace.
We did spend a fair bit of time travelling in Swansea direction to go to a par 3 golf course, indoor bowls and a couple of beach's.

All in all a great holiday and would definitely return.
