Advantages: trafford park, commomwealth games, shopping

Disadvantages: too noisy, too big, too much crime

I have lived in Manchester for 7 years and have read with interest the other opinions of this place. I live on a council estate and although most of the people are decent hard working and friendly, Ther are others who are rude abusive and threatening. How would you feel to be to scared to put your children to school in case they get mugged for dinner money, or beaten up cause they are wearing red instead of blue, hospitalised for achieving excellance at school. I could go on and on. People want to open their eyes to the real Manchester, and try walking a week in the shoes of those people who have to live on estates like mine, and are too scared to stand up and be counted cause their children will bear the brunt of it. I wish i had something nice to say about the place but I haven't. That is my opinion of manchester....I have lived the experiences I have talked about, As for a general overview of Manchester, Yes it has some redeeming qualities, the new stadium for the commomnwealth games, New shopping center, and the worlde most over rated football club ever. I wish I could name the estates I am talking about, but I cannot as I would get Locked. Then people could visit and make their own minds up about this "WONDERFUL" CITY.
