Market Harborough is a reasonably populated town in Leicestershire. Recent winners of Britain in Bloom, the town keeps getting noticed more. In this review I will tell you about all you need to know about Harborough, from which day the market is on to how many supermarkets there are. Read-on!

Market Hall
The main Market is open on Tuesday?s, Friday?s and Saturdays. Stalls vary from Watch Stalls to game stalls. It also has a butcher, bakery and a fruit and veg stall. Then on Sunday it is antique day. Stalls sell items from past years, from old cigarette cards to Old vases and cups. The butchers, bakery and fruit and veg stalls are not open on that day though.

Shops (Not supermarkets)
The recognised shops in Harborough are Woolworth?s and WHS. Although they are not as big as other stores across the country, they stock all the main items, eg. Chocolate and sweets in Woolworth?s and Books and Magazines in WHS. The town also has numerous banks, Alliance and Leicester and Halifax being the two most known. The town also has it?s own shops like MDH Sports, a shop that stocks sporting goods. The town doesn?t have many café?s though. Joules is the only one that comes across my mind.

Super-markets
The town has its fair share of Super-markets, 5 in total. Sainsbury?s isn?t as big as others but stocks all your needs. The tesco is situated in the centre of the town, only being a Tesco Metro it doesn?t stock that much. Good enough for Daily needs, not as big as Sainsbury?s though. Iceland, hence it?s name really only sells Frozen Foods. Good for you if you are going Freezer shopping otherwise not the biggest for confectionary and Biscuits. Right across the road is Co-Op, reasonably sized. It even sells T.V?S! The smallest one of the lot is Kwik Save. Only good for the Kwikies deal in my Opinion. (32 packs of Crisps for £2, that kind of Stuff). My major criticism is that it replaced the towns only Cinema.

Entertainment
Well ther
e used to be a cinema, that was before Kwik Save moved in. The conservative Club is good for Children at Christmas, they have Disco? with free Crisp?s for the kids. You have to be a member though. Every known and again a French Market comes into town, always getting a fair bit of attention. The town also has special events on certain days, late night shopping at Christmas and The town carnival in late spring early summer. Other than that not much.

Food and Drink
The town has quite a few Pubs, Sugarloaf, Red Cow and the Greyhound being amongst the most popular. The town also has numerous Chippies?. The newly renamed KBC is a favourite along with Trident fish bar and Blue wave. There are quite a few in residential areas as well. If you?re looking for a popular meal then your best bet is to go to the hungry Horse. The only real restaurant that springs to mind.

Outdoor Sports
The town has its own football team, although little interest is shown in that. There is also a golf Course, but membership is quite expensive. If you?re looking to have a kick-around in the park with your mates your best Bet is got to Welland Park. Other parks include Logan Rec. and Little Bowden rec. Not much to do though on a wet day.

Leisure Centre
The only place you can go to on a wet day. The Harborough leisure centre has a Gym, swimming pool and Table Tennis facilities available aswell as a new Covered area where you can play a bit of football. You do have to Book in advance for most of these facilities though.
