Maryport in General

Well, since the last review was written (2002) I would like to let everybody know just how much Maryport has changed, for the better. Maryport is my home town (I live in a village on the outskirts of Maryport). Locally, Maryport is surrounded by stereotypical judgements such as "it is rough...it has loads of drugs etc") But let me ask a rhetorical question, how many places don't have drug users, and how many places don't have "rough" areas?!? Maryport is a small, depressed town in the north west Lake District, but it does have one saving grace. It's home to the Lake District Coast Aquarium, which is "One of the best marine aquariums in Europe", according to the leaflet. When you consider that closely it doesn't seem to be making much of a claim for anything, it's like saying the Millenium Dome is one of the best domes built for the millenium.
