Advantages: Lots of strange fish

Disadvantages: No krakens

Maryport is a small, depressed town in the north west Lake District, but it does have one saving grace. It's home to the Lake District Coast Aquarium, which is "One of the best marine aquariums in Europe", according to the leaflet. When you consider that closely it doesn't seem to be making much of a claim for anything, it's like saying the Millenium Dome is one of the best domes built for the millenium. In the town there are streets in which it seems like one in four of the shops are boarded up. Given the surroundings it's hard to expect the Aquarium to be anything much.

Summary: Nice fish
