Minehead = Boring

Advantages: Countryside, nice walks
Disadvantages: Boring, not many jobs, dangerous roads, rude people
Minehead is a small coastal town in the South West of England, in Somerset. From the beach you can see across the Bristol Channel to Wales. Is is a good destination for hikers because there is a coastal path which goes on for 360 miles across the national park all the way to Dorset. Along the way is beautiful scenery. In the summer there are trips to Lundy Island by the Waverly or Balmoral. There is also a steam train which can take you to Bishops Lydread. These are about the only good things.
I have lived in Minehead for 5 years now and although there are some nice places to go, i find it a boring place with more bad than good. The majority of locals i find to be very rude. The road to Taunton is dangerous and has a lot of casualties each year, not a good place to drive. In the summer Butlins is open for cheap weekends which brings in a lot of drunks. And when butlins isnt open throughout the winter months the town is dead and a lot of the shops close. There is also Blenheim Gardens where there are druggies and it isnt a welcoming place for the elderly who might like to go and read a book. The jobs in are hard to come by and are often only minimum wage. I would not reccomend it as a place to live or visit. Having lived here for long enough, i cannot wait to relocate to a nicer place where people have manners.
MINEHEAD = NOT WORTH A VISIT!
Summary: Not good
