Advantages: quite and interesting

Disadvantages: no good for wild party animals.

Nestling amongst the Cotswold Hills, perhaps 10 miles from Glouester and 5 from Stroud, is Nailsworth.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Goucestershire, the naislworth area is an ideal one - you can easily get to larger towns, to the many lovely villages around Nailsworth, and to numerous visitors attractions, like Slimbridge Wild Fowl and Wetland trust or Woodchester mansion.

There are some great shops in Nailsworth - plenty of small, unusual shops rather than lots of big stores. The Egypt Mill is a great place to eat, and if you want some exersize, thre's a really nice cycle path to nearby Stonehouse (Where there is a train station.)

Although you cannot actualy get into them any more, there are old stone quarries in the hills around Nailsworth, these quarries are now home to rare horseshoe bats. The commans on the hills between nailsworth and Stroud are home to a range of wildlife, including orchids.

nailsworth is not a place that has much of a nightlife, but if you are looking for a quiet getaway, B&B in this area will be ideal. f you are staying in Gloucester, Stroud or Cheltenham, its easy enough to get to nailsworth, and well worth a look round.
