Advantages: Everything

Disadvantages: The village itself is very small

Nairn may only be a small town in Scotland, but I love it!

This review will mainly be based on Nairn Lochloy, the caravan site situated in Nairn, as it is where I spend 95% of my time when I visit.

Nairn is a beautiful beach village in the Scottish Highlands.

~ Where is Nairn? Any Nearby Attractions? ~

Nairn is located in the Scottish Highlands, just a 15 minute drive from Inverness.
The main attractions in and surrounding Nairn are -
- Nairn Museum
- Brodie Countryfare
- Brodie Castle
- Cawdor Castle
- Lochness
- The Culloden Battle Fields
- Benromach Distillery

You can also visit Inverness, Forress and Elgin while you stay in Nairn as they are so close by.

~ Nairn Lochloy ~

Nairn Lochloy is right on the beautiful Nairn beach. The caravan park is one of Parkdean's few Scottish parks, but it is one the best in the UK in my opinion.

Accommodation - You can stay in a static caravan, or there are touring pitches for tents and personal caravans. If you are a tourer, there is a shower and toilet block which you can use during your stay. These are only accessible to those with the pincode, which is only given to those on touring pitches.

What's on site? - The site itself has 3 play parks. 1 for under 5 year olds, one for over 5 year olds and 1 situated at the back of the site which is rarely used. There is also mini golf facilities, a gamesroom/arcade, restaurant, club/bar, small supermarket, swimming poll and sauna, and of course, the beach.

What about entertainment? - The entertainment on site is fantastic! The current entertainments team is Paula (entertainment manager), Jonny, Adam and Chi Chi (Chelsea). During the day, they host some fabulous children's clubs, which get the children involved with sport, art, socialising and cooking. They also play lots of games and take the children to the beach.
In the evening, there is another children's club, along with children's prize bingo and a show for the children. Following this, there is adult money bingo (strictly for over 18's), a disco, party dances, shows, adult game shows, cabarets and just an all round good night.
The shows are always put on by the entertainment team sometimes one of the security guards, Tommy, joins in too), these shows are always hilarious, and are usually spoofs of classic songs/shows/films etc.

Nairn is a wonderful little village and I always enjoy visiting there, my family and I go at least 5 times a year and it never gets boring. We have another weekend away planned for next weekend..roll on the fun and games!

Summary: Love, love, love!
