Newcastle is by far the best city in the world. With it's superb nightlife, fantastic shopping facilities and delicious restaurants, Newcastle it truely the cultural centre of the North.
The Quay side offers a truly unique combination of pubs and clubs catering for every need. The tuxedo princess is an experience not to be missed offering a floating nightclub moored to the bankside of the river tyne.
Eldon Square shopping centre and Eldon garden contains a wide range of shops from sports to designer wear that would be a challenge to London's Oxford street.
China town backs on to Eldon Garden offering a range of cantonese and peking cuisine as well as a large chinese supermarket. Other good restaurants include 21 Queen Street and Metropolitan (grey street) which offers great value meals of impeccable quality during their happy hour.
Culturally Newcastle is hard to beat. The tyneside cinema has blossomed over year's of investment and now has an amazing programme of films and a relaxing cafe upstairs.
A weekly arts and crafts event can be found on Armstrong Bridge, Jesmond on the outskirts of the City Centre. This event attracts artists from the local area, who meet every Sunday to sell their work. The area surrounding Armstrong Bridge is fast growing to be a fantastic arts and designer shopping area with unusual jewelry shops and a superb gallery.
The well maintained public transport and the well designed traffic routes make the whole of newcastle accessible.
There is much, much more to see and do - well worth a visit any time of year !!!!!!
