Advantages: Lovely place

Disadvantages: Lots of take-aways near the station that gives a poor first impression

Newton Abbot is a small town set in a valley in South Devon. The shopping centre is based on a long street that runs from the train station into the centre of the town. There is then a pedestrianised area with a few roads going off and a market area. There is a lovely old-fashioned indoor market with lots of little market stalls selling bits and pieces. On different days of the week you get different stalls in the outdoor area just next to the market.

Newton Abbot also has a number of lovely parks. The best by far is Decoy National Park that contains lots of woodland around a large lake in the centre. There is also a really fun children's playground with areas for different ages.

There a quite a few pretty churches and historic buildings. It is a lovely pretty town with lots of planted flowers all year round.

Definitely worth a visit. It's also a lovely place to live.

Summary: Come and take a look!
