Advantages: lovely harbour and fishing town

Disadvantages: expensive now because of Stein

Padstow is located on the North West coast of Cornwall and is probably most famous for Rick Steins home and restaurant, in fact property prices here have rocheted over the last few years because of this association.

Padstow is centred around fishing and has a lovely harbour, just watch your kids here because the harbour walls are unfenced.

It is a beautiful town with some lovely shops, nice places to eat and there are plenty of boat trips from the harbour that you can go on.

From the main carpet you can wander through the main fish market and there is also Steins Deli here that sells some lovely things, he also has a chippy here too!!

If you venture just outside of Padstow and look across the estuary you can see Rock, this is where a number of celebs have property and it is the most expensive place to live in Cornwall.

Also just a little further up the coast are some beautiful beaches, Harlyn Bay springs to mind as one.

Summary: Great place for a day out while you're on holiday
