Peterborough is my home town. I have lived there all of my life except these last few months I have been at University--- one thing which Peterborough really really needs!

Its located on a direct rail route with London and is about 120km North. Part of Cambridgeshire, Peterborough is a growing city currently under massive redevelopment.

Home to about 160,000 its one of Britain's top 50 largest city's but from experience not one of the 50 best!

The city is full of culture. There is Flag Fen, and the cathedral. And also a few galleries and museum's. Its also home to Peterborough Utd F.C who are currently challenging for promotion in League 1.

The new redevelopments are happening on the outskirts of Peterborough with the newest and ever exapanding Hampton Hargate. This is home to a huge shopping centre and 100's of homes.

Within the heart of the city expect all the normal shops and things to do etc but there is the famous Queensgate there though which does provide an indoor shopping experience.

A night out in Peterborough is a bit bland. The main (and only nightclub) is Liquid Envy which is rubbish and expensive. You often find yourself travelling to better nights out such as Norwich and Cambridge.

When you live somewhere you tend to find it more boring than it actually is. Peterborough has all the makings of a great city with things to do all the time.

One thing they desperatly need is a university. This will give it a huge boost... I just dont know if there is the space!

Summary: Could be an interesting day out!
