Peterborough in General
Advantages: family friendly, loads to do, job vaccines
Disadvantages: can be dangerous at night, rough place to life
Based in East Anglia, east midlands, surrounded by the areas of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. Peterborough is located in the heart of England. It is only thirty miles to Cambridge (by car) and less than half an hour by train. Its just over seventy miles from North London (by car) but it is only one hour (by train!) From personal experience, it's easier to go by train but it can be expensive - so book in advance!
Peterborough is a great atmosphere for everyone! with lots to do, even with job opportunities.
Peterborough's shopping centre is named Queensgate where is everything from fashion to food.
Fashion stores include: topshop and topman, dorothy perkins, New look, Ann Summers, George at Asda, Peacocks, h+M, river island, Jane Norman, Miss Selfridges, Internaticole, Next, Warehouse
Food: subway, McDonald's, John Lewis cafe, BHS cafe, Wetherspoons
But there is another shopping centre in Peterborough located in Hampton named serpetine Green where there again, stores for everyone H+M, RIver island, new look, Topshop, burton and many more! Also has one of the biggest Tescos in Cambridgeshire.
There are many schools located over peterborough including King's school, Arthur mellows, Stanground college, Hampton college and Thomas Deacon academy.
There is one further education in peterborough: Peterborough Regional college where you can study anything (your special interest or a-levels) But the area of the college can be a bit 'rough.'
Nightlife is good in peterborough where you have clubs such as Liquid and envy, Flares and Reflex, Yates, Edward's, College arms and to name a few more pubs. And all places are open till about 2/3 am, except hard-core rave clubs which are open till 6am.
Famous residents of peterborough include : JLS' Ashton MerryGold, Skins' Luke Pasqualino and comedian Paul Nicholas.
there are also musuems and exhibitions around Peterborough which are mainly based on art, history of art and the history of Peterborough and Cambridgeshire.
There is also a bowling alley located in Bretton which had excellent deals on bowling games such as on Mondays play many games for a fiver till midnight!
Showcase Cinema is located out of Peterborough where you can watch some of the hottest blockbusters!
Check out Peterborough two theatre - The Key theatre and The Cresset - they have drama classes for people who are willing to persuade a career in the theatre onstage or backstage! Or you love visiting the theatre check the performances out!
Living in the area can be quite 'rough' as there is quite a few rough areas of Peterborough especially in the centre and outskirts. Even can be dangerous at night.
Overall, Peterborough is a nice, small city, as I was born here and it's family friendly and there's always something for everyone whatever the gender or age! I really do like the city!
Summary: visit east anglia
