Advantages: Not too bad
Disadvantages: No choice.
My sister collected the tokens in the sun for a four night break. She chose her destinations and got Pontins at Camber for this weekend (4 day 3 nights) Because there are six of them she paid £90.00 in total. However, we visited Pontins in August and since we have come back we have received offers in the post offering September to October special deals. They were offering £6 per night, based on a 3 night stay ( four days) this would work out at £18.00 per person.
So in effect, my sister saved £18.00! Not much of a saving when she didnt have the choice of when and where. So, bottom line.....shop around! Also, because Pontins employ young staff, familys tend to declare and pay for only a few members of the family and 'smuggle' the others in!. Apparently this is normal and acceptable practise! I wish I'd have known when I went!!.
