Advantages: The best chip shop in the area, plus mushy pea fritters
Disadvantages: Young silly boys skateboards on the front knocking in to people
I have been visting Ramsgate for about ten years now ever since my grandparents retired there.
Its a nice little seaside town, the beach is really nice and quite clean, it has some good stuff for the children also.
Whenever we go there we always go to the chip shop just down from the lift that brings you down to the sea front, there is always huge queues but the fish is fantastic and they do these mushy pea fritters that i know sound disgusting but are yummy!!
Ramsgate has a loverly little selection of shops especially this bargain shop called Mad Max's.... they do loads of nick nacks and i always find loads of bargains in there.
They have a great ice cream shop on the front as well, you have to try their caramel and fudge icecream....to die for!!!!
Overall i really like the town, although my mum and dad do worry about my nan, as they retired to a village just outside canterbury and although they see her a lot, they worry as the crime rate in Ramsgate is notgreat and there is lots of young lads that make a nuisance of themselves....but i think you get that anywhere you live, there will always be parts of the town less desrible than another.
myself, my husband and my kids really enjoy visting there and would recommend it to others especially with smaller children as dows not get as busy as some of the other beaches in the area such as margate.
Also they are regenerating the area and investing lots of money into this so im really excited to see the results and hopefull bring it all back to its previous glorious condition.
Summary: Nice beach and much quieter than others in the area, lots of ammeinties
