We had a beautiful room in a small guest house and a Lake view in the morning over the lakes of Killarney.After a hearty Irish breakfast we packed our car and headed along the N72, past Carrantoohil, Ireland's highest mountain and on to Kate Kearney's cottage in the Gap of Dunloe.This was a charming spot but we had not long eaten so decided not to stop! Having recently returned from beautiful Ireland, I have decided to share another piece of Irish magic with you all..... This time its the Ring of Kerry in the Southwest. I shall compile a list of how we got there and our activities whilst there and hope its useful to somebody as Its a must-visit area if in Ireland! We travelled on Stena line from Holyhead to Dublin Port which took 3 hours approx. Upon our arrival at the port, we took the N& South from Dublin, taking us the 3 or so hours to Limerick, which is now bypassed(very handy).
