Belittled Town has beauty to offer (Runcorn (Cheshire))
Member Name: navidson
Advantages: Surrounded by Countryside, some historic sites Disadvantages: Kebab shops, factory skyline
Runcorn is a heavily industrialised town, about 15 miles east of Liverpool based on the banks of the River Mersey. Although the reputation of the town has been tarnished over the years by dozens of disreputable pundits and naysayers - TV crews have obviously seen something in the town - With 'Merseybeat', 'Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps' and 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' all being filmed here - With locals dubbing the town as 'Woolywood'! Summary: Come and visit - There are pleasant surprises here! |
