Advantages: lots to see and do
Disadvantages: busy in summer
Overview
------------
Skegness is a popular tourist attraction for both day and holiday visitors. It is the largest seaside resort town on the Lincolnshire Coast. It has a great award winning beach and lovely promanade. Leave plenty of time in Summer - roads are very busy and parking difficult. Tip: park at the cricket field only £4 all day!
Attractions
----------------
Great beach with donkeys/ponies
Natureland seal sanctuary and animal centre - worth a visit but a bit pricey.
Church Farm museum - average
Skegness Pier - average (a piers a pier to me!)
Captain Kids adventure centre - great for kids
Crazy golf - a few courses to choose from - one has a boat ride circling it.
Ten-pin bowling
Laser quest
Fun fair
Town centre shopping - a reasonable range of shops.
Lots of pubs and clubs - be aware of hen/stag do's!
Restaurants
---------------
Mostly cheap and cheerful. Fish and chip type places, kebab snack bars or pub grub. We havent found a decent place to eat yet and been going 6 years 2/3 times a year!
Accommodation
--------------------
Lots of choice, even in summer theres lots of availability in hotels or B&Bs. You can get a B&B room for less than £30.
Overall
---------
One of the better seaside resorts we visit. Much more to do than Cleethorpes. I like this resort because the beach is beautiful - very safe for paddling and interesting to watch the life boat go out. Worth a visit if youre on the east coast.
Summary: great resort on east coast
