Being a londoner, I am very familiar with the area of Soho. It is situated in the West End if London, nearby to Tottenham Court Road, Oxford Street, Leicester Square etc. Also nearby is the famous Chinatown.

The area is easy to walk around in, though if you are unfamiliar to the area you may get yourself lost! It is easily accessbile via foot and the area can be walked and explored in a short time. It roughly covers a mile or so. I do not recommend this if you are alone in the night-time perhaps, as its not the safest area. There are also drug dealers in this area so keep your wits on you.

The area itself is predominantly cafes, restaurants, bars, sex shops and adult strip clubs. It is also well known for being gay friendly and featuring multiple gay bars, including Old Compton Street. The well known GAY Bar is situated on this street and is very popular and busy inside. Its a great place to visit and is pretty bustling most nights, especially so on the weekends.
There's a wide variety of places to dine, so you won't be stuck for choice.

There is also Soho Square, which is great during the summertime where it gets pretty busy. One can picnic here, do some sunbathing, or even have some drinks in the outdoors. Its got a great vibe about it, whether you go alone or with friends/partner.

Another hidden place just off Soho Square, is the NHS Walk In Clinic, which is very handy as you can just turn up without appointment to see a nurse.

The area itself has an eclectic variety of characters, musicians, artists, fashionistas.
Famous faces can often be seen in this area, I've seen a few, including Keira Knightly, Gok Wan and more!
