Advantages: Fantastic beaches

Disadvantages: Possiblt to small a place for some

Tenby, I have had many visits yet I still enjoy coming back for more! Tenby is a seaside town in Pembrokshire, situated in south west wales on Camarthen Bay. I guess it is best know for its fantadtic 2.5 miles of sandy beaches, which in the height of the summer do get busy but not I feel overcrowded. They also have good disabled access and I have no problem in taking a family memeber there who relies on the use of a wheelchair.

It is a lovely little town which offers a great deal of attractions for tourists, one of which being the trips from Tenby Harbour out to Caldey Island where the monks live. There is also the Tudor Merchants house which is a national trust property and a museum and art gallary within in the town.

The town itself has a mixture of bars,cafes and resturants, there are no big groups allowed in most of these so you don't feel intimidated. the shops range from individual gift shops to high street retailers such as Boots, WH Smiths and Newlook.

There are some great places to stay in Tenby, I last stayed in a small Bed and Breakfast, just a stones throw away form the town. You can always look at the tourist information website for accomadation (www.enjoyengland.com).

If you wish to use Tenby as your base there are also places further afield you can vist such as Cardigan Bay; where the seals play off the coast of the popualr Saundersfoot, another pretty seaside town.
