Advantages: Shopping outlets (although small) - convenient for Stirling.

Disadvantages: Bit run down.

Tillicoultry is a small town in Clackmannanshire, central Scotland. It is ideally placed for commuting or visiting Stirling as it's only around a 20 minute drive and there are also frequent bus services.

The town seems a little run down but has all the shops you would need on your doorstep - grocers, takeaways, etc. There are also two large shopping outlets which attract many visitors to the town: Sterling Furniture is based in Tillicoultry and has an extremely large store here selling all sorts of furniture, home electrical furniture, home and kitchen items, etc and Sterling Mills is a designer outlet centre which, although small, has a great selection of shops like Nike, Addidas, Thorntons, Mountain Warehouse, and lots more - excellent for some bargains! The town also benefits from a golf driving range, and there are many fine walks in the area including around the Ochil Hills which look over the town.

Summary: Good location and handy for some bargains.
