Advantages: Not Many

Disadvantages: You have to drive through Widnes to get to liverpool

I would never visit this place again due to many reasons, there are allot of factories about including the Fiddlers Ferry, The Rendering Factory and many more chemical plants, it is actually unreal at how many of them there is situated in widnes. If you are driving into widnes mainly from Runcorn the smell from The Rendering factory will want to make you turn back and think again about going, the smell is really bad in the summer with the heat.
There are a few nice places to visit in widnes such as Victoria Park which is a newly designed park with a bowling green, skateboarders rank, children's play area, five a side area and cafe which is great for children. Widnes also has the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre, an indoor paintball centre, Kingsway Leisure Centre, Halton Stadium home of the towns rugby league side Widnes Vikings , St Michaels Golf Course and much more. There is not a very big shopping centre in Widnes they offer your everyday shops such as Wilkinson's, Morrison's, Asda, charity shops, Argos e.t.c, they also have a small indoor supermarket and outdoor market. There are not many pubs and bars but there are a few if you want a quiet drink. There is allot of crime of a night time mainly due to drinking but of a day it is your usual a quiet town.

Summary: Just not a very nice place to visit
